The Technical Affairs Office performs the following functions:
1- To supervise construction projects, furnishing, equipping and maintaining MOFA′s premises and monitor development of the Diplomatic Area, in coordination with competent authorities in the State of Qatar.
2- To monitor procedures for contracting, purchasing and renting buildings for representative missions abroad, in coordination with competent authorities.
3- To supervise all works relating to maintaining MOFA′s buildings, furniture, machines, electric, water, telephone, telex and fax networks and others.
4- To supervise and follow up insurance of all MOFA properties including buildings and furniture at the headquarters and representative missions abroad, in cooperation with competent authorities.
5- To maintain and update registers for all buildings and their contents belonging to MOFA′s headquarters and representative missions abroad. The registers shall contain all technical and financial data such as maps, certificates of ownership, invoices, receipts and other documents and updating them.
