The Security Affairs Office performs the following functions:
1- To organize and monitor procedures of entry by all individuals into MOFA buildings as well as their exit.
2- To monitor safety procedures at MOFA buildings and their contents and propose, in coordination with competent authorities in the State of Qatar, means to deal with defects in such procedures.
3- To ensure efficiency of civil defense arrangements at MOFA buildings and annexes.
4- To prepare and issue IDs for all MOFA personnel.
5- To prepare and issue IDs for workers and others who perform temporary jobs at MOFA buildings and annexes.
6- To prepare security instructions and issue them to MOFA personnel.
7- To supervise guarding MOFA buildings and annexes, in cooperation with competent authorities.
8- To organize supervision of parking spaces and their movement inside MOFA premises and issue entry permits.
9- To maintain a register of all MOFA office keys and take necessary security measures in the event of their loss.
10- To draw up a special security system for Qatari diplomatic and consular missions abroad as well as supervise and monitor its application.
