General Description
The Ministerial Resolution No. 231/2004 AD defined the administrative limits of Al-Daayen Municipality. They are as follows:
The first point is on the seashore, north of Ras Qotayfat region.
The second point is on a straight line west of the first point, on the coastal street (Doha, Al-Khor).
The third point is south of the second point on the coastal street intersecting with the university north street.
The fourth point is south east of the third point on the intersection towards the northern barrier of al-Dahil camp.
The fifth point is north of the forth point, at the intersection of al-Shamal street and al-Khor main road.
The sixth point is north of the fifth point at the intersection of al-Khor with a bend towards Ras Lafan.

Most important cities and villages
Al-Daayen Municipality serves a big number of cities and villages within its administrative limits, among which are:
Al-Abib, al-Ab, Jeryan Jenayhat, al-Khaysa, Rawdat al-Hamama, Wadi al-Wasaa, al-Sakhama, al-Masrouhiya, Wadi Lucil, Umm Qarn, al-Daayen, Sumaysma, al-Jeryan, Tanbak, Rahiya, al-Ghaf, Ras al-Nuf.
The Municipalities coordinates with the urban planning for the rest of new cities and villages.

Constitutional Framework
Resolution No.11/1972 AD on the creation of the municipalities of Al-Rayan, Al-Wakrah, Al-Khor and Dhekra, Al-Shamal, and Umm Salal was issued on 5/6/1392 AH - 17/7/1972 AD.
