UAE \ Central Banks And Financial Regulatory Institutions \ Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates \ Treasury Department \ Money Markets and Foreign Exchange Section
The Money Markets and Foreign Exchange Section is primarily concerned with the day to day placements of shorter-term deposits with commercial banks around the world. An elaborate system of "bank limits " is adhered too, provided to the Treasury Department by the Correspondent Banking Department. The foreign exchange desk of the Treasury Department executes the various foreign exchange needs of the Central Bank albeit in the "spot" or the "forward" market.
