Graduates from this degree will be in higher demand and targeted from companies. The main objectives of this option is to computerize applications in many different areas. Traditional careers with computing are open to you such as IT consultancy. You will also be able to undertake research and higher degrees.
The normal entry requirements for applicants is the U.A.E secondary certification or an equivalent qualification (all sections) with average grade of C (60%).
Assessment of students′ performance in each course taken is done through a combination of classroom tests, assignments, presentations and a final exam at the end of each semester. Almost fifty percent of the final grade is awarded based on the final exam, while the rest is based on the work done during the semester. Details of assessment criteria for each course is mentioned in the respective course outline and study plan.
Students are eligible for a bachelor in Computer Science after completion of 132 credit hours, which normally takes eight semesters. In addition, students must undertake 12 weeks of industrial training in a summer session, which is equivalent to 3 credit hours. The minimum cumulative grade point average for graduation is 2.0.
