The Executive Committee is the administrative organ of the parliament section. It convenes upon the invitation of the FNCís president. The presence of the majority of its members forms the legal quorum and decisions are taken by simple majority. In case the votes are equal, the presidentís vote is decisive. The president asks the Committee to convene upon the request of three of its members.
The Executive Committee is responsible for:
- Preparing the Parliamentary Sectionís agenda and activities.
- Designating the Parliamentary Sectionís representatives and delegation members who participate in the meetings and conferences of the Arab Parliaments.
- Preparing the Parliamentary Sectionís Budget and final account.
Preparing the annual report on the parliamentary Sectionís work and activities.
In the case of the Councilís reformation, the Executive Committee temporarily takes over the Parliamentary Sectionís affairs until the new Councilís first meeting.
