General Description
Port Rashid has the facility to receive huge number of tourists and passengers, as two sea routes have been opened between Port Rashid and each of Port Bandar Abbas and Port Bandar Lankah in Iran, and Port Umm Qasr in Iraq.

This port is distinguished by its capacity to receive huge ships "Containers", Cattle ships, Vehicle and Heavy Machinery carrying ships, etc.

The port, also, has a special quay for warships.

This port was inaugurated on 5th October 1972.
