General Description
AMPC is delegated the task of improving services to the citizens of the Western Sector. It is particularly responsible for:
Developing the current capability for the Power Plant & Distillers.
Developing their efficiency.
Enhancing Safety of Plant & personnel as well as protecting the environment.
Quality Assurance.
Minimizing operational & maintenance costs.
AMPC has two power plants:
1-Al Mirfa Power & Distillation Plant:
The plant was commissioned in 1995-96
2-Madinat Zayed Power Plant:
commissioned in 1977 as a diesel generator station.
History
Al Mirfa Central Plant was initially formed in 1993. The Actual production of the plant began on 1995/1996, and on January 1st, 1999 the formation of Al Marfa Power Plant was announced to include both of Al Marfa Central Plant and Madinat Zayed Power Plant as a joint stock corporation.
Constitutional Framework
The Company acts in accordance with a license issued on December 6th, 1988 by the Bureau of Regulation & Management.
