General Description
The Joint Economic Committees formed by Dubai Chamber of and Industry in cooperation with Similar Organization in those countries maintaining economic and trade relations with Dubai. The prime objective of these committees is to enhance and activate trade, two way investments, manufacturing, transfer of technology, cooperating in Information Technology projects, tourism and other vital services sectors.
History
The Joint Economic Committees have significantly contributed to strengthening Dubai relations with other countries by recommending establishing a number joint of projects in various economic sectors. They have also made constrictive recommendations to solve the obstacles that hinder the development and flow of trade and business.

Among the prominent achievements made by the Joint Committees the recommendation of certain measures to facilitate customs and ports procedures for goods shipped from Dubai Ports to the Iranian Ports. The joint Economic Committees between Dubai and the United Kingdom has also made constrictive recommendations to the E.U in order to find suitable solution for the “Aluminum tax” levied on Dubai Aluminum products.
