The Chamber′s objectives are:
Regulating and promoting the commercial, industrial and agricultural activities as well as relevant services. Co-operating with the competent authorities in all matters related to commercial, industrial and agricultural activities.
Strengthening ties amongst the chamber members and establishing bilateral relations with other chambers of commerce.
Creating awareness in matters related to commercial, industrial and agricultural activities.
The functions undertaken by the Chamber include the following:
Obtaining and disseminating among members all texts of legislation, organizational rules, regulations, data and statistics relevant to business and in industrial activities.
Issuing magazines, pamphlets and publications various economic affairs.
Authentication of The certificates origin ,sources of industrial and agricultural goods, commodities products as well as certification of invoices and verifying the correction of signature in connection with transactions.
Settlement of business disputes amongst chamber members.
Holding and participating in conference and seminars within and outside the UAE.
Submission of proposals, studies, draft laws, bylaws and regulations on business matters as well as issues relevant to the function and jurisdiction of the chamber within the Emirate and nationwide.
Presentation of proposal regarding performance and reorganization of other administrative bodies providing services to the business community and serving the object of the chamber (e.g. fairs &exhibitions, commercial schools scholarships …etc.).
Thus to sum up; the functions of the chamber we can say that the chamber looks after the interests and concerns of its members, whilst improving its activities and diversifying the services rendered to the business community. Among the ways and means the chamber can serve its members:
Conveying their views to the relevant authorities at all level.
Providing them advanced information services.
Rendering business services of an international standard.
Organizing promotional events.
Supporting and proving training of all types and at all levels.
Some of the major services provided by the chamber include:
Liaising with the government in removing obstacles hindering economic progress in the Emirate.
The chamber circulates regular economic publications on potential new investments in Ajman.
In cooperation with the relevant authorities, dissemination of awareness among businessmen and combating business fraud of all forms in order to eliminate any practices hindering economic progress.
Organizing exhibitions which display the latest technologies and scientific advancements realized in the industrial field.
Co-operating with chambers of commerce within and outside the U.A.E. in exchanging data and statistics as well as considering proposals related to business affairs in periodic meetings held for this purpose.
Providing chamber members with the relevant data required for the implementation of the business and industrial projects as well as names and information about foreign exporting companies, utilizing international trade directories available at the chamber.
The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in 1977 by an Amiri Decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Hu-maid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman. The Decree provides that the Chamber shall exercise all powers and authorities assigned it in accordance with the in the Emirate and shall have full capacity to achieve its objectives.
