General Description
In 14/2/1906 a resolution has been decreed to establish Misr Electric Railways Co. &AinShams Oasis ( Joint stock co )
For this purpose , 18000 Feddens ( equivalent to 79 million metersquare ) were sold from the Egyptian government to the company which was know later by Heliopolis Co. For housing & development .
The company succeeded in establishing and developing Heliopolis suburb , till it became an Integrated city provided with utilities.
the company managed the utilities of Heliopolis underground, electricity and water networks till 31/12/1991 ( date of execution of the prime minister’s resolution 1655 for the year 1991 ) to transfer these utilities to the homologous parties in Cairo governorate .
The purpose of the company is to :
1.Carry out housing and construction project as well as preparing and dividing lands , also providing them with utilities and services .
2.Organizing , planning and selling lands owned or managed by the company .
3.Carry out the designing works and supervising the execution of local projects or projects invested by Arabian or foreign capital
4.Established special house such as hotels, hospitals and touristic building .
The co. is keeping on developing lands allocated for Heliopolis suburb .
The company is now working in the development of the global reconstruction project outside Heliopolis suburb to contribute in the growing and essential reconstruction movement in order to face the overpopulation in the Egyptian cities , as well as the investment of the company’s competences and technical skills in all fields that are essential in carrying out the development of the global reconstruction .
The resolution 193 for year 1995 has been decreed to provide 5887 fedden between Egypt /Ismailiya road and Egypt/ Suez road for the company in order to reconstruct this lands as well as establishing a new city on it which is The new Heliopolis city .
Also the company has bought 93.71 fedden at El obour city –the eighth zone from the new prosperity societies authority for the some objective.
