History
The Company was created by a Royal Decree in 1948. The by laws has been modified according to Law 203 of 1991, where the company was made subsidiary of the Holding of Chemical Industries. The company was later registered in the stock market. Blue Circle & Strees bought 73% of the shares in January 2000. Then, the company was further moved to be under law 195 of 1981 and Stock market law 95 of 1992. French Lafarge co bought Blue Circle in 2001.
