General Description
The Women National Council has been created by the Presidential Order no 90 year 2000. It acts as an independent association head by Mrs. Suzane MUBARAK, who believes that this association should be an institution which groups all egyptian women.

The political leadership believes in the importance of reinforcing the national mechanisms which have the mission of women development. Thus the council has been created at the highest political level.

The women national council aims at developing women status, so that they can play an efficient role in Egypt soical development, protecting our national heritage and the Egyptian personality, in order to educate generations loving their country, attached to their traditions and to their religious doctrines, confronting the changes and influence of globalization at the beginning of the third millennium. The women role can not then be marginalized in a rapidly changing society and in a country aiming at progress and development
Constitutional Framework
Under the Presidential order N° 50 for the year 2003 the National Council for Women has been renominated.
