1. Services for Investors by Creating and regulating a central reference for investors whenever referring to MDSRC for what related to their securities ownership
2. Services to listed Companies by Acting as central securities depository aiming for managing the following:
Companies shareholders` records
Trading activities of companies shares
The companies securities
Direct electronic transfer for (securities ownership) finality of title regarding securities trading
Providing accurate information on shareholders
Printing invitation for AGMs
(regular annual and extraordinary ones)
Maintaining the capital of the listed companies
Monitoring and controlling ownership percentage of foreigners and individuals
Restricting the founder shares of the public companies listed with MDSRC
Identifying the membership of the public and closed companies listed with MDSRC
Managing Governmental Development Bonds
Managing General Meetings

The company has been established according to the Royal Decree no. 82/98 issued in February, 25, 1998.
Mode of Finance
It is a closed joint – stock company and its authorized capital is (2 million OMR), while the issued one is (1 million OMR). Since MSM owns 40% of the company capital , investment as well as brokerage companies and the banks own 60%.
