General Description
The Royal Hashemite Court is the necessary political and administrative link between His Majesty the King and the Central Government, the Armed Forces and the Security Forces. It also provides a vital link between the King and the Jordanian people.

Over time, the Royal Court has evolved to encompass several smaller entities to support the work of other members of the Royal Family. These entities are involved with various aspects of social development, economic, education and military matters. The National Security Council of Jordan is also attached to the Royal Hashemite Court.
The constitution describes the relationship between the Monarch and the government. As such, the Court plays the role of facilitator and supporter to such a relationship. Such a role is a necessary condition for the smooth running of the Central Government as well as the constitutional process.
